izCloud Flex: A Cloud Server Pool Billed by the Hour
An hourly ledger instead of a fixed package. Every virtual server you create in the panel is billed for the hours its resources are allocated to you; anything you delete or shrink stops being billed from that hour. One invoice at month end, nothing paid upfront.
Pay As You Use
In the flex pool you do not buy capacity in advance. Create a server when the need arises, delete it when the job is done; the invoice reflects only the hours the resources were actually allocated to you.
Hourly billing
The hourly price for vCPU, RAM, disk, IP and internet is the monthly unit price divided by 730. The amount allocated to your servers is written to the ledger every hour.
No charge for idle capacity
Resources you delete or shrink leave the invoice from that hour. A resource used all month never costs more than its monthly price.
No approvals
You never open a request to create, grow, shrink or delete a server; changes apply instantly from the panel and the pool has no quota.
One invoice, at month end
No prepayment, credit top-up or card mandate is required. You follow the estimated amount under My Services during the month and pay the single invoice by transfer or card.
How Is the Hourly Price Calculated?
The calculation is auditable: your custom monthly unit price, the average hours in a month and the hours the resource stayed allocated.
- Hourly price
- Monthly unit price ÷ 730
- Why 730?
- The average number of hours in a month (8,760 ÷ 12)
- Unit prices are set. The quote defines a custom monthly unit price for each resource.
- Converted to hourly. Each unit price is divided by 730 to get the price of one hour.
- Allocation is logged. The vCPU, RAM and disk allocated to your servers is recorded every hour and reconciled hourly with the virtualization layer.
- Summed at month end. The invoice is calculated from the ledger; a continuously used resource is capped at its monthly price.
- Resource allocated all month
- The full monthly price, never more
- Resource used half the month
- Half the monthly price
- Test server kept for one week
- About 23% of the monthly price
- RAM doubled mid-month
- First half at the old size, second half at the new
- Server deleted after twenty minutes
- One hour of charge
Fixed Pool or Flex Pool?
Both models run on the same infrastructure and the same panel; the difference is when you pay and how you manage resources.
| Comparison | Fixed pool | izCloud Flex |
|---|---|---|
| When you pay | At the start of the period, monthly or yearly | At month end, based on usage |
| Commitment | Fixed capacity for the chosen period | No resource commitment, hourly |
| Pricing | List price with period discount | Custom unit price, hourly = monthly ÷ 730 |
| Resource changes | Through a pool upgrade | Create, grow, shrink, delete instantly from the panel |
| Ideal workloads | Steady and predictable | Fluctuating, seasonal and project based |
| How to buy | Instantly from the cart | Consultation and quote, under agreement |
| Security and backup | Firewall, IPS, WAF, VPN, load balancer, backup | Same services, same panel |
How It Works
Four steps from application to the first invoice; existing izCloud customers continue in the same panel.
Consultation and quote
We listen to your needs and prepare a quote with your resource unit prices.
Pool definition
After the agreement the flex pool is defined in your izCloud account.
Panel management
Create, grow, shrink or delete virtual servers whenever you want.
Month-end invoice
The single invoice calculated from the hourly ledger is paid by transfer or card.
Your existing fixed pools are untouched; the flex pool is opened separately in the same account.
Who Is It For?
The right cost model for teams whose resource needs change month to month, even day to day.
- Development and testing — Spin up pre-release environments, delete them when done.
- Campaign and seasonal load — Grow for the busy period, scale back afterwards.
- Batch jobs and analytics — Run the big server only for the hours the job takes.
- Agencies and SaaS teams — An environment per client or project, with cost visible per hour.
- Project-based enterprise infrastructure — Run migrations and pilots without a long commitment.
- Startups with uncertain growth — Pay for today's usage, grow from the panel as you scale.
Transparent Rules
We share the limits of the model upfront; no surprises on the invoice.
Powered-off servers are billed
A powered-off server keeps its resources allocated. To stop paying, delete or shrink the server.
Disk is always full price
Disk space stays allocated whether the server is on or off and is billed at full price.
Minimum one hour
Every creation and resource change is billed for at least one hour.
Usage-based backup
Backup has no quota; your actual backup usage is billed per GB.
Included internet tier
The bandwidth included in the tariff is free; anything above is billed hourly.
Estimate always visible
The accumulated amount and the month-end estimate are updated continuously under My Services.
